Introduction

Thank you for downloading Presidential Assassination, an I'82 map by Dante. It probably took a while but it's worth it for what is probably the best map on the Interstate at the moment. This file is here to tell you what you get in the pack and how you play the game. Please take the time to read through this file, it'll make the game all the more pleasurable!

"Mr. President, we've just received word..."
Moments ago, a message was received by your personal armed guard. Someone has called in a tip off that there is to be an assassination attempt on Ronnie while he is enjoying a relaxing afternoon on his private links golf course. Even now you can hear the rumble of V8 engines disturbing this tranquil scene...

Start the map as a trout game, this way you will only target the enemy and you will spawn in the correct half of the map. Team One spawn in and around the golf course, team two spawn around the army base and Vegas.

A player from team one should find the golf carts in corner of the golf course climb in one. There are three to choose from, depending on the number of assassins and their firepower.

The "Stars & Stripes" cart has 400 points of armour, and will need to hide frequently if it is too survive.
The grey cart, called "Eagle", has 1600 points of armour for those not standing a chance against the opposition.
The Green cart, "Bogey", has 3000 points of armour, and can take a serious battering. This is mainly for beginners facing heavy artillery.

The player in the golf cart must make it from the golf course to the army base, without being killed by the attackers. This will require a long drive, using any scenery you can find as a hiding place.

Help is at hand though... The rest of the Team One players need to stay with the president and defend him against any oncoming creepers. Should they die, they must make it back to the pres as soon as possible to continue the escort duty.

TIPS

Have an escort ride up ahead to warn of any incoming assassins.

At first sign of trouble, hide somewhere and switch off your engines. If you're not on their radar, they will have to spot you visually, which is pretty difficult in a small golf cart... even harder in green camoflage!

Wait until your escorts give the all clear before resuming, and use Team Chat (End key) to report your position.

Know all the routes to the base and which routes offer the best protection.

Make sure the freeway is clear before making the dash to Vegas. It's a long stretch in a 35mph golf cart, with no place to hide.

Tanker Escort
Mission Escort
"General! Inbound kamikaze creepers are attempting to destroy Las Vegas, Sir!"
The army base is home to a chemical storage depot, currently holding vast amounts of the deadly cyanide gas. A group of militant creepers, "The Anti-Elvis Brigade", are heading this way to destroy the depot, releasing a cloud of death upon Las Vegas. The gas currently stored in large tankers situated in the hangar which must be escorted from the base to the ocean-side golf course, away from the densely populated area.

This is practically the same rules as for PA above. Team Two must escort the Moth Tanker from the base to the golf course, while Team One tries to destroy the tanker. There are three different moths to choose depending on how hard you feel:

"Mothmeister" (orange) - 400 armour
"Capable" (green) - 1600 armour
"Lamer" (blue) - 3000 armour

Although these behemoths are so big it'll be difficult to hide anywhere, they pack enough carpoons to keep a creeper immobilised until reinforcements arrive!

Tanker Trouble CTT
Traditional Moth Escort, World's Biggest Trout
On this map, both teams start in same positions as before, only this time they both have a moth tanker near their starting positions. A member of each team should get in a moth and attempt to capture the opposing teams trout and return to score!

In standard Moth Escort fashion, only the tanker can capture the trout, the remaining members must prevent it being destroyed. If it is, it should respawn where you found it after a short time.

This map also makes an excellent trout game for standard rules so give it a try! Welcome to the World's Biggest Trout Map!!!

Presidential Cruisin'
Cruising Map
This is for those of you on a more relaxed plane, who'd rather just sit back and enjoy the view. The clipping has been extended so that you can see further although this may affect low spec computers (in which case, cruise on one of the above maps)

Extreme Racing
Racing, Beginners Map
This map has the main route marked by orange cones, and so can be used by beginners to see exactly where they should be going...

As a race map, there are four ways to play. Start the map as a trout game with everyone on Team One. You will all spawn on the golf course with the starting banner in front of you. There are two courses you can take:

The standard course - marked by orange cones, showing the main route to the base
The advanced course - marked by blue cones, showing a few of the secret mountain roads.

If you fall off and would miss out a large section if you continued (i.e. cheating), rejoin the race when the last car has passed you, ensuring a fair race...

To play the race backwards, start as Team Two. Follow the cones in reverse to get to the golf course.

Tiger Woods Extreme
Killfest,Trout, Hot Potato
Killfest around the golf course and surrounding woodland is wet weather. Trout bases are at the course hole and deserted town.

Dam That River
Killfest, Trout, Duelling, Hot Potato
Killfest spawn points around, and on top of, the dam. Takes place at night for an extra challenge! Trout bases are at the deserted town and the mountain junction on top of the dam. Duelling at the bottom of the dam, with spectators halfway up.

Tomorrow Never Drives
Killfest, Trout, Duelling, Hot Potato
Remember all those cool Bond films where Cmdr Bond drives his Aston Martin down the side of a windy mountain road, giving the lady's a thrill? :) Well, here it is, in all it's sunset glory.

Trout bases are in the suburban construction site and mountain road. Killfest spawns around the same areas around the creek. Duels take place at the bottom of the mountain road with spectators on the surrounding mountain paths.

Elvis Has Left The Building
Killfest, Trout, Duelling, Hot Potato
Killfest action in Vegas. Duelling in front of the Desert Sands Hotel, with spectators on the hotel forecourt (above the central fountain). Trout bases in the army base and at the Interstate gas station.

Interstate Rocket Strip (Beta)
Racing
Accelerate 0-60 in less than a second! Start the game as a killfest. Two rocket cars are situated on the interstate; take them for a spin! Note: the freeway's custom textures aren't too good for friction, although you can hit 200 on the standard plain-asphault in vegas, or even on the rocks :)

First surreal map based on the moon. Excellent killfest action in vast craters! Currently the most downloaded map on i82.co.uk!
