VARIOUS LEGAL STUFF:
"Interstate '76" and "I'76" are copyrights of Activision, Inc. "American Vigilante Association" and "AVA" are copyrights of Chase Dahl. All trademarks and copyrights are used with permission.

INTRODUCTION TO PRICING AND THE DIVISION SYSTEM:
AVA duels, both official and unofficial, use the "Division" system of pricing. For example, a Division 10 duel only allows vehicles that have a total price of $10,000 or less to enter. Divisions start at 5, and go up by factors of 5 (5,10,15,20, etc.) all the way up to Division 30. There are two additional Divisions: 7.5 ($7500) and Unlimited.

BUILDING CARS AND THE GARAGE:
It is highly recommended that AVA members have a "garage" of cars ready in the most popular Division classes (7.5-20). Other Divisional duels probably won't happen that often, but AVA drivers may want to have those cars built just in case, too. Cars are built from the chassis up. Everything except armor and structure costs money! You can design AVA legal cars with the 5.0 Price list with the Online AVA Car Designer.

CHASSIS:
Note that at this time, chassis not listed here are NOT official AVA vehicles and may NOT be used in AVA duels.

VERSION 5.0 NOTES AND COMMENTS:

Chassis: No Changes have been made in regard of the "old" chassis except for some of them that suffered a little decrease in armor from Activision. The AMZ lost 8 points of armor, the Cop car lost 20 points of armor and the Vikea lost a dramatic 40(!) points of armor. Decrease in costs were made accordingly. The Bus and Moth Truck chassis price dropped to a more serious level. The origional chassis formula, created by Chase, was used to calculate the new chassis prices.

Engines: The V6 (inline 6 for Sui) and V8 remain the same, but a slight decrease for the SHO-V8 and V-10.

Suspensions and Brakes: A good decrease of their prices has been performed. In relation to high-end engine cost decrease, we're hoping to encourage players to try different approaches when building their combat cars; better equipment for a good driver can often be deadlier than sheer firepower.

Tires: Remain the same.

Weapons: Slugthrowers are the weapons that have seen the most changes. The cannon prices have decreased significantly to more accurately reflect their effectiveness in comparison to machine guns. Rarely do you see cannons in AVA divisional combat, we are hoping it will make them more popular. The 7.62mm has been increased by $300 because of its effectiveness in dueling situations. All guided missiles are now priced at $2500. Dr Radar missiles can be easily defeated by shutting your engine off; Aim-Nein missiles have suffered a severe decrease in tracking effectiveness; Forget-U-Not missiles require a lock time, cannot be linked, and cannot be turreted. The HE and WP mortars have seen a slight $250 increase while Cluster Bombs remain priced at $5500. No real changes for the droppers. The Blox Dropper has been decreased to $100 because of its ineffectiveness. Caltrops, while not "lethal," are very effective when used in conjunction with other, more powerful, finishing weapons. That is the reasoning behind pricing them along side the Fire Dropper.

Accessories: All the Specials have been priced below $1000, because they are just that, accessories. Blower prices have been drastically reduced following extensive testing by SuiCyco, who posted all the results at SSS.

.45: Unfortunately, we still can't put a price on it. :)

Now remember that those prices are exclusively for the Nitro Pack, and the Nitro Pack ONLY. The previous version of the price list will still be available and will be used for official combat in the original version of I76. No price list will be made for the Gold Edition. At least, it's not planned for now.
