Re: Hoppo’s Guide to Custom Paintjobs for Interstate '76 & Nitro Pack
Once you have all six of the .rar files in one place, simply open the file named paint trick.part1.rar to extract the paint trick.htm file and its corresponding folder

Hoppo’s Guide to Custom Paintjobs for Interstate '76 & Nitro Pack
I finally found the thorough and detailed guide for making custom paint jobs! I will have to post it in six parts and two posts, as the 1,325 kB file size is too big to post here, and only three attachments are allowed per post. Once you have all six of the .rar files in one place, simply open the f...

Re: A picky unhandled exception
I'm fairly certain this is the same sound bug that plagued Windows XP(?) users, which I can only describe by listing how it was produced: 1. Install the game from the original disc using the original install exe files (with the inevitable warnings of course) 2. Launch game (yay it launched ...

Re: "Weapon View" & "Look At Target" keys don't work.
If I'm following: "Weapon view" is F11 by default and only works when the ordinance is in the air. Try it with a Dr. Radar missile and no target. F5 is the default "Look at Target" key and works on the vehicle you have targeted. Not sure what else you may be after? Let me know. ...

Re: Map making: The .TER file (Nitro)
We all know I have a "favorite palette" but the question is, should I apply it to the map and rebrand it "Synchronica B"? Different map versions need to be able to co-exist (except of course the broken ones). You can't give everyone digitally enhanced copies of the original Star...

Re: It's (almost) official! New Interstate '76 T.R.I.P world record!
Congratulations, Lightfoot! You are the man for doing this, and you have done a great service to the community by bringing more attention to the game! Will you be able to spend more time making efforts to secure your record on twitch? It will draw more attention and I don't want to see someone else ...

Re: Windows 10 is a pain
What I will have to look into though is finding out why the keys for steering left and right seem to interrupted / cancelled every time I fire my weapons. Most annoying! This is because regular USB keyboards are inferior to PS/2 keyboards. Removing PS/2 from motherboards was supposed to get you to ...

Re: Interstate '76 + Nitro Pack AiO Patch
Thank you, UCyborg. I should mention I'm no fan of nGlide, as you can't adjust much, and it is made more or less for ATI and AMD hardware. If the textures get mixed up in 3D enhanced mode using nGlide, well, too bad. With dgVoodoo2 you can adjust the texture memory size under the Glide tab. Most peo...

nVIDIA Profile Inspector
If you have a nvidia video card the profile inspector can help make the game work a little better. You can download it here: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Orbmu2k/nvidiaprofileinspector/build/artifacts To use: Install and run it. Delete the entry for WCW Nitro (I heard it was a terrible game anywa...

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
I still would like to merge this with the patched Nitro.exe from here. (or merge the stuff from this PatchIII into my patch). so that's still on the todo list. But as you noted, the GOG version is a bit different than the version from the disc. so i'll have to do some more digging to find out how t...

Re: Texture corruption in both glide and D3D modes
From my understanding you make a bat file with that in it followed by the executable for the game you wish to launch (nitro of i76 in out case). This shows that this may actually be a but (or perhaps just a limitation) of the mechwarrior 2 engine i76 runs on. It's too bat increasing the memory valu...
