Re: Unofficial Nitro Pack Patch III Released!
Acid But seriously, sorry dude. I'm not trying to piss you off, just want to take notes for comparing to the gog version. You don't have a changelog included with your download. I'm also I'm not too well experienced with this OS, but that doesn't mean I can't learn. Yes I know that sounds typical an...

Re: Unofficial Nitro Pack Patch III Released!
I know I've been a pain in the ass with the stuff lately but, I notice the router patch on Shane's site is the same as the Patch III on this site other then the inclusion of what appear to be components of Patch II (possibly Patch I or a mix of both). What exactly do those components do? You said th...

Good to be back online! At first I thought you got pissed off at us (me) and just decided to close the site.

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
Well, I'm not an expert at windows components (as you may recall I come from Mac and Linux and this is my first PC in a long time), but a particular component can be made of several dlls. What if another dll from the winmm API is attempting to communicate back to the winmm.dll, but communicating wit...

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
For now Multiple versions is inevitable so you'll just have to deal with it....
...just like I have to deal with a CD check
He already tried copying the files, didn't work, though I'm not sure weather he fixed the cutscenes or not.

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
You've made your point, I'm waiting for immi to reply to my response. I've said it before, I too would like these versions unified. I must warn though, immi and Shane have a shitload more experience than me at hacking stuff; I'm more of a scripter. For the window issue, I looked up "GDI" a...

Re: Enough with whining about I'76...
Fair point considering that Nitro has everything the base game has, but I always though Shane's new Winet dll solves the Anet server issue, no?

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
Well I'm asking right now, if you don't want to have new patches pre-cracked then can you help me find the offsets instead? They're different from the base game's. In the end it is your work, so it is your choice. But keep in mind, shit cooperate decision or not, you'll be alienating half the commun...

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
Well I wish I knew that then, regardless we're all Interstate fans and we all need to help each other. Activision and GOG obviously aren't going to do it; Activision's busy making more CoD games that haven't had gameplay changes since 2003, and GOG....well they're being GOG, focusing on the popular ...

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
Already got 'em mate, just bought it from GOG to avoid the regedit bullshit. Do I regret? Maybe in some ways. I'd upload pics but it keeps telling me files too large.
I don't have nitro though. Also you can't use the retail version in wine (like what immi's doing) without disabling the check first.

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
Splash.exe, it has an option for windowed mode when in software, though now that I think about it, considering that the D3D and Voodoo option just send the -d3d and -glide parameters to i76.exe, it likely just sends the -gdi parameter. I mentioned cracking it because even in the GOG version it retai...

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
Assuming you're talking about software windowed mode, if you can find a way to crack the launcher, splash.exe, you can chose the option through there.

Re: 30fps patch for base i76
What? The "patched" WinMM dll *is* a wrapper, just modified to work correctly on Windows 10 (apparently the original incarnation of the wrapper has issues and the original dev abandoned the project). Copy all the included dll to the interstate directory then rename WinMM to Win32, problem ...
