"Creeper Canyon" auto melee map causes game to hard lock
In both I76 and I76 Nitro Pack, trying to load into this map results in a black screen with music playing, Even worse is, I can't ALT+F4 out or see Windows itself (that's black too) so I have to CTRL + ALT + DEL and restart my PC. Any ideas? Not sure if any other maps do this as well.

Should mention i'm running it in Glide with the latest DGVoodoo on Win10 Pro x64, I have it set to Win95 compat mode and the DGVoodooCPL and both I76 .exes set to Run As Admin.

Just tested and the map works fine in D3D mode, very odd.

Upon loading it in D3D mode in base I76 and going back to Glide, it now loads in Glide. However, in Nitro Pack, it loads in D3D but still hard locks in Glide. What a clusterfuck!

as for task manager, 1st of all start task manager with "always on top" option before you test something, it allows task-kill
when you got blank(black) screen. (press windows button to select task)

If you have any kind of hex editor, plz openup N58.CBT in miss16 and find following letter
T013_16.ACT
There are no T013_16.ACT.... my N58.CBT in miss16 have the line wtf.
If ALL version of nitro (ver : USA/EU/bundled/updated) uses same N58.CBT we have to fix dat file.
Correctly it is T13_16.ACT
If you want to fix it manually, overwrite the line in hex editor(backup the file 1st).
T013_16.ACT
to
T13_16.ACT.
DO NOT delete 0 of T013 just overwrite and ....ahm you might see as like T13_16.ACTT
The last T=54 in binary, so write 00 in binary.
Someone help I dunno how do I explain in english.
*** OR try the easiest solution : copy N58.CBT from miss8 to miss16. (Do NOT move, I said COPY)

bundled with video card ver and its Upgrade opt for classic: wrong value have2fix. upgrade ver might use same file with bundle ver.

M08.MSN : wrong assign t013_16.ACT have to be fixed to t13_16.act
(I have not checked whether m08.msn is creeper canyon or not)

Nice find. I think correcting the file in miss16 folder is the proper approach.

I'd just make a copy of the 8-bit file and give it the proper 16-bit name ... but I'm a barbarian ...
