(side note...if you want Light, we can start a general comments thread to keep your story thread clear.)

It doesn't look to me like this forum is getting the draw or appreciation that it needs to be public (or viable) so any of you reading and not commenting on the stories should probably start.

I've only got a few more of the first chapters of OOL written and I'm not going to bother to tie them all together in any sembalance of a hurry if people aren't intersted in it.

Let me know, I'm here all week.

Looks okay so far, but not enough going on in the story (yet) for me to make any real comments on. The segments do work on the level of getting inside the character, but there's next to no narrative. Saying that, that's the kind of thing I've written. I'm hoping for some interraction in future episodes- as it stands it's one man almost freezing to death, on the surface at least.

I understand exactly that this is the idea behind the story, but it makes it difficult to critisize. There's no cheesy or purple prose that I noticed, so that's a good thing.

Interstate fiction is a time consuming and thankless task :) I'd always write for my own enjoyment first, and hope someone likes it enough to read it and feedback. ;)

Well, you've already gotten my feedback on it.

I'd also like people at least post an acknowledgement of viewing the board.

eh...

Even though we know Light survives, I still want to know how. Where are those crazy hippies I was promised!? :P

OK, I'll post up to where I stopped over the next few days...the hippie "scene" may be toned down a bit from the BETA you were told about but it still should be kind of fun...or not.

Next chapter when I return to the boards!

Toned down? Bah.

The FCC can't get you here, so you shouldn't have to tone anything down!

That's a good point, actually. With the story I'm currently working on, I'm hoping to include "adult themes", but I'm not sure whether it'll work, it'll seem gratuitous, if it will just make for uncomfortable reading on an Interstate 76 forum, or all of the above :)

Now, though, I have to say I'm intruiged, and if Lightfoot's story is abridged for the board, then I want to see the director's cut complete with commentary :)

Post it as you organize what you want to write.

Which ever makes it easier for you, if writing is'nt fun its not worth doing afterall. Creative writing anyway.

Yeah. Post it up when you've got it. And leave it a while if you don't.
Of course, I'd like to read the whole story, but I'm not impatient. :)
