Extract audio files
Extract audio files
Hi there,
I remember that there used to be a program with which you could extract the audio files from I'76 (located in i76.zfs).
I tried two game-extraction-softwares ("GAP" ("Game Audio Player") and "Game-Editor"). They both find the WAV-files, but I can't use them if I extract them.
So maybe I need a special extract-program, or I need a special program to convert the WAV-files.
Thanks for any help on this!
PS: Interstate'76 is still one of my favorite games ever created!!!

The first one is untested on the Interstate .zfs. The second claims "100% working support".
I just Googled for these links so dont ask me any technical questions about exctracting files because i have no idea.
Im sure someone around here does though.

Try this one. If you want to extract from a zfs other than i76,zfs or nitro.zfs then I believe you have to rename it either of those.

Thanks for all your answers guys. The programs all work, but I still can't play the wav-files. I always get an error like "This is not a known sound-file".
I even tried to import them into GoldWave, but it doesn' really work. All I get is a very distorted sound ...
Any ideas? Is it because I have the Gold-Edition?

I just tried all of the programs linked except for Pack76, and none of them work with Nitro Pack, even Pack77. The thing is that I wanted to see if tinkering with the click sound file would keep the game from freezing in XP on some computers since it seems to be the road block for most people. Oh well.
due to new interest in interstate I am posting this finding
http://bzforum.matesfamily.org/viewtopi ... =172#p2365
it is an extractor AND compressor for the compressed zfs files!!!
I tested it with the GOG version of arsenal
