This place seems pretty quiet. Are there still Tuesday night events?

Yup!

Every Tuesday until the end of Light'...then Wayek will probably pick up the torch.



We'll be starting in about 5 hours from my posting (6:00pm Pacific) at a challenge map like Ruins, Slipstream, Offroad or DM Track III.

Then, it's about 2 hours of racing starting at 7:00pm Pacific and if anyone is still around after that it's mob rules.

It's already approaching 9pm here, so in five hours time I may be a little frazzled - I have work at 9am...

How would I connect to the game?

The only server left (that we know of) is hosted by the guys over at Battlezone.

You need to enter: battlezone1.com (for both the name and IP address) in your Servers list in Internet section of Multi-Melee.

Use the main page of this site to see if there are any games to join *OR* make sure it's listed if you host your own.

2am is probably a little late for you to be storming around on Nitro (especially if you have to work at 9am) but we're working on getting more "regular" games hosted at time people outside the US can play.

Wayek is usually good for a game at the drop of a hat, too, so send him a PM if you're itching for a drive and I bet he'll hook you up.

So, this is frustrating -

Everything seems to work fine with the online thing up until I actually try to join in.

I can host a game on my own OK, the map loads, but when I try to join, I get "Mission File S4Nf.rac missing" then it crashes to the desktop.

I'm not a computer whizz, so can someone help me out here?

Ugh, well, 3am is not the best time for me to be trying to work this out. Hopefully someone will have the answer by next week

I did, and as far as I know, I've extracted it all into the necessary places.

I'll try joining tonight's event! All the maps seem to work OK on the Melee missions so I see no reason why they won't work online.
