Hey kids,
Ol' Light's been bored today so he just tried a couple of speed runs at Slipstream 1.1.
Aside from clipping the wall on the last jump it was pretty clean...under 9:00.
...not that anyone ever tries to beat my times...
Video forthcoming after condensing it down from native FRAPS.

Re: Timed run at Slipstream
Heh, not to raise the dead but I just did this map again in a D15 version of Thunderbolt...
Looks like I got in under 9:00 again, too...
...but just off record pace at 8:58 vs. 8:55.
Funny, I clipped the wall at the end again.
Video forthcoming.

So...not like traffic is high enough that people will wonder why I moved this thread here, but in case you were wondering:

Re: Timed run at Slipstream
for Slipstream?? I'm not even gonna try it ... 1. I can barely make it in the map about 80% of the time and 2. windows decided that it doesn't like my video converter now so uploading a file that size would be difficult
I might have some converted videos laying around from when we were running Morton

Bring water to a boil. Lightly salt and oil. Add pasta. Cook until al dente...

Re: Timed run at Slipstream
I'm thinking that for general purposes that the maps on the leaderboard should be over 5:00 to start (and I'm pretty sure Morton is about a 4:30 map).
If they get worked down from there, so be it but I don't think that we're going to be able to split hairs fine enough on tracks like "Twister" to make it make sense. Too many possibilities for too many ties.
Any Flavor of Mulholland, Synchronica, Ruins, Offroad, Katana maybe even The Veldt or American Iron would be reasonable places to start...or not.
I'm not your mom.

You can if you want to...
...however, if it's not glorious enough to motivate me to update the page, is it glorious at all?
