Map conversion issues!

Post by Lightfoot »

Hey kids,

After a little bit of testing it looks like ol' Light' coded an error into all of the new map conversions.

Not sure what the root of the issue is but it's easiest to identify if you're targeting an opponent running in a different display than yourself (8 vs. 16).

I was a little loose with the pallets and OBJ code so I'll clean up the unreleased version of Acid Trip and BETA test it with the guys that I know are having issues.

Stand by.

Thanks.

Minor update:

Seems there's an OBJ count someplace in the code I've missed so when I add more than the "default" number of objects (every conversion but Day Light Two) the string objects (like fences and guardrails) disappear.

I'm not sure if this is what's causing the crashes or not, though there's a chance it's just the Win10 kids ruining things for the rest of us.

Update:

The original posting of Boondogs! has proven to be stable.
There is an update for Destruxion, TX that has tested stable.

We are working on Day Light Two and Drag & Jump, however the OBJ adjustment only made it stable for the Win7 boxes, not the Win10CU machines.

We're working on finding the last offset for total file size that's incorrect.

Please stand by.

Thanks.

PS - If anyone has a PC running Windows 10 Creators Update please double check my work! You should target an opponent (not using Q, rather T or E) and then F5. If you hit the desktop I've done something (else) wrong...one sample does not a study make.

Update:

There is an update for Drag & Jump that has tested stable.

We are waiting to hear back from one of our code monkeys for the second part of the OBJ / file length fix before we process Day Light Two and release Shroom Dogs (Acid Trip).

Thanks for your patience.

Update:

There is an update for Day Light Two that has tested stable.

Please download the updated map files and overwrite the existing ones.

There may be no change in file size, however, the code base *HAS* changed.

This should resolve all known, open issues with the recently released maps.

Please let us know if you have any new or undocumented issues.

Thanks for your patience.
