One session only glitch
I realize that this might be a shot in the dark considering I'm one of a few, if not the only guy running windows 10 with glide but I'll ask anyway. I have an odd glitch that results in the game crashing after 1 session of play. Doesn't matter if it is single or multiplayer, 1 get one solid round and thats it. Any attempt to start another game results in a black screen with the pencil mouse cursor frozen in the middle. I've had this glitch for awhile but largely ignored it as I used to get 3 sessions before having to ctrl alt del and close nitro, that I could live with easily. But now I have to close down everytime, making changing car setups online a pain in the ass. If need be I'll live with it, I could think of much worse bugs to have to deal with, just curious if anyone has any ideas. I'm still experimenting with new dxwnd settings all the time but if anyone has an idea I would appreciate any input.

Re: One session only glitch
meh..... any time I was on Win10 I couldn't ever reconfigure .. always had to close the game entirely and restart which is why it would take me so long to re-host between games on Fridays
never effected me much any and I just ignore it
your problem sounds different though... try software, -D3D modes and see if it still does the same thing

Bring water to a boil. Lightly salt and oil. Add pasta. Cook until al dente...

You're on your own if you've been experimenting with off-board solutions to your problems.
Sorry.

Re: One session only glitch
It's caused by the heap corruption bug. Newer Windows versions enable Windows 9x heap emulation for Interstate '76, but not Nitro Pack, which sometimes works better for hiding the bug. Windows 9x heap emulation is also activated by Windows 9x compatibility modes and I think DxWnd has that option too somewhere, but the bug was fixed in my patch, so it's pointless.

Keep up the good work, dude!
However, you've got to remember that the "old school gamers" are few and far between and some of the kids here don't even know how to properly unzip a file.

Yeah, you need to be familiar with basic file manipulation operations and such to install my patches. Plus, they're specifically developed for my own personal usage, I just happen to share the final result. If they can help themselves with that, cool, otherwise...
