Well, apparently my thread hasn't fallen on deaf ears.
Here's the link to the proper NITSHELL.DLL...

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!
Hey kids,
It looks like I'm going to be right on time with Grey Fox in tow for the TNE *OR* I'm going to be super late.
In the event I'm going to be late I've asked tex to pick up the hosting until I can get there.
So, to avoid him having any issues let's run these maps:
6:00 - 7:00: Challenge Map - Isle
7:00 - 8:00: UU Racing - Pipeline
8:00 - 9:00: UU Racing - Formula 4X4
9:00 - : TBA
See you there...or not!

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!
Looking forward to testing out my shiny new joystick. Do you guys use the Y axis for throttle, or do you use the throttle wheel? I kinda like the wheel for cruise control, but it's a little unresponsive.

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!
Most guyz push/pull on the stick for throttle/brake. I'm one of the die-hards that use the throttle wheel.
On my old MS SideWinder, before Win 7, I was able to get the throttle on the wheel, and still pull on the stick for brakes. This worked awesome with some careful dead-zone settings, and then had the full wheel's axis for throttle, instead of just the top half with the brake using the bottom half. After Win 7 I was still able to get the wheel working, just couldn't separate the two like before.
My new Logitech Extreme 3DPRO is a far superior stick though. I haven't been able to get the above setup but I am still throttle and brake on the wheel. Works awesome. Excellent stick.

Wow, it seems like forever since I've hosted a TNE!
Thanks for keeping it real the last two weeks, Tex!
Let's hope we have a turn out tonight!

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!
lookin forward to tonight, got me a new stick. logitech extreme 3d pro
(not just to carry topic on TNE thread, just happened to come in mail yesterday.)
my setup i have gotten used to on this stick, i use throttle wheel for gas and brake
side thumb button is juice
upper left thumb is weapon2, but may change to something else
lower left thumb is target next enemy
upper right is rev toggle
lower left is ebrake
all the base buttons change as each button quit working
use kb for gears and .45 and views
major mod ive been considering, and may just do it. take a dremmel and remove most of throttle wheel tab, leave enough of a nub for reference. then score lines on the barrel part for gription to my thumb. (more like the ms sidewinder)
the idea is back to using one finger as opposed to two so other finger can hit base buttons.

Re: The Tuesday Night Event!
Hey, that's a pretty spiffy sounding set up you got there Tex!
which kinda makes me wonder what other kind of set ups are you guys using?
(we all know The Wraith's heh..)
This is how I roll:
Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro + keyboard
button 1 - fire
button 2 - cycle weapon
button 3 - target
button 4 - toggle reverse
side buttons..
button A - e brake
button B - shift right
button C - shift left
button D - juice
I don't the throttle wheel or the hat and the arrow button is the horn....I use the keys for everything else
Maybe we shouldn't be hijacking the TNE thread and maybe Light could move these posts to a different topic?

If you don't use the y axis for gas and brake... how the heck do you drive with a beer in your hand?
