Re: The Tuesday Night Event!

Well, here we are again!
T minus 9.5 hours and counting...
So, since we might have a new guy along tonight I'll explain how we do a couple things...
First consideration is that we do a LOT of racing and this isn't NASCAR. Rubbing is not racing. Rubbing is driving badly and is frowned upon (discounting accidents and mistakes, of course). So, drive like you're paying for the repairs yourself.
Races will start when everyone has finished their lap and is at the start line. Whoever won, or whoever is the host will type something, usually between <> (such as <GO>) and the race will start once that text NATURALLY falls off the screen. If someone types something or Nitrace pops up the start will be redone.
If there are guns allowed for a combat race, the general rule is don't shoot until after the first jump. That will usually give everyone time to get sorted out. If you die during a combat race DO NOT shoot up the starting line after you regen. The ONLY people that should be shooting after a combat race are the ones who finished the lap and want to sort out who had the most car left.
I host most maps for 55 minutes, starting at the top of the hour, with a timer for the challenge map (6:00-6:55) leading up to the main event. On occasion I will pick a map that has an issue, like bridges that can be blown up with no alternate route, which will either have to be rehosted or we'll switch to a new map. On rarer occasions I will pick the wrong map (due to similar names or being a confused old man) or pick something inappropriate the number and/or skill of the players. When this happens I will throw anyone in the game out to the lobby and rehost something not quite as horrible.
That being said, it's the BACKSPACE key to type...
I think we'll start with an *EASY* map for tonight...!
Check Twitch for a hint.
See you there...or not!
