The game was there, I was ready to go, but I couldn't join. Consistently ended up with a "could not connect to server" message when I tried.
Well...

...either your firewall has been turned back on or your Nitro configuration has changed.
I'd start there.
The games been up an hour and tex and I have been there the whole time.

I can see the game, but I can't connect for some reason, plus I've got other things to attend to. I'll try again later, maybe Nitro is acting up.

I really have no idea why you guys are having problems...
It's not that hard to make a public and private exception for NITRO.EXE and host and join games at will.
...that or reinstall the patch.

Whoops, did I miss the match? I was busy with other stuff, but just now I tried to join the game under Lubuntu (using PlayOnLinux and the version of I'76 Nitro distributed by the Facebook group), but I didn't see anything.

How about you use the known, working configuration instead of something completely untested?

...yeah.
How about you try the "known, working configuration" as detailed in the Tech Support forum instead of some off-brand solution from a bunch of guys that haven't been able to successfully host a multi-player game?

Because I've successfully done it before. I think I moved back to Windows so I could add maps more easily.
OK...

I was able to see the game and everything, but I couldn't seem to connect. Maybe I'm not using a patched version on this Linux machine?

Been busy, probably won't make it to this one. Considering uninstalling/reinstalling the game later on.
