Unfortunately this patch breaks GOG version (as does Patch III) -- music and scenarios stop working. Any idea what could be done?

Yes, someone other than myself can find a developer, persuade them to write a patch, host a site and deploy it for everyone for free...
...alternately, you could spend $5 and find a copy of the game on disk and not use the GOG install since they're not interested in opening a dialog with us.
Thanks!
PS - This is probably happening if you're not running in -D3D or -GLIDE...

Heh, it's sad to hear they don't want any discussion. Anyway, thanks for the info! I'll try searching for the game on disk instead or try an external framelimitter.

If you've got an nVidia chipset on your video card, I'd recommend nVidia Inspector. You can use it to chop the framerate *AND* fix some of the anti-aliasing and frame buffer issues.
DXTory works pretty well for AMD, too.
$0.02

I've been scouring the forums lately and found a few posts by you. I didn't realize the GOG version was 'bastardized' haha so to speak. So I do have original install discs from back in the day. I guess I will pick them up the next time I'm around my parents' house and do another install with those to try to get the 'full experience'. Is there anything else I should know about this LF? Thanks for your time and insight.
