Pre-TNE Test Event: Dogue Racing (6:00pm Pacific)
Posted: Tue Jan 09, 2018 2:51 pm
Loosely based on Togue, Dogue will be a "Follow the Leader" and "Enduro" combination style race.
Racers will line up single file based on the results of the last race (or whatever is clever but the single file thing is requisite).
The racers then "follow the leader" and stay behind the person in front of them around the map until one of the following things happen:
1) The leader dies - In this case whoever was in second place becomes the leader
2) All the following cars are dead or out of comission - Whoever is leader is the winner and can start a new race
3) There is a crash or someone is unduly slowed down by map features - The person who has been stopped or slowed has to move the the end of the line. Second place becomes the leader and the race continues
Once you've died you are should not rejoin the race in progress unless specifically OK'ed by the current race leader.
In the event of a new race starting where some (most or all) of the cars are out of radar range it's on the race leader to find a "central" or "easy place to find" on the map and the rest of the players to rally to them.
***
"WTF, Light'?"
Short answer is there are a ton of under used, lightly explored combat maps with roads for days and features that are super conducive to this kind of "driving around"...
If you're not into it don't show up. If it's not fun, feel free to leave.
